1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WalkMate ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the App. BlazeApps reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. About the App

WalkMate is a pet walk tracking and management application designed to help users record dog walks, track routes using GPS, manage pet profiles, and monitor walking activity. The App includes route mapping, distance and duration tracking, pet profiles, walk history, and monthly reports.

3. User Accounts & Authentication

WalkMate uses anonymous authentication via Firebase. You do not need to create a traditional user account with a username and password. Your data is stored securely and anonymously.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and access credentials
• You agree not to share your authentication token with others
• We are not responsible for unauthorized access due to your negligence

4. Location & GPS Data

By using WalkMate, you grant the App permission to access your device's GPS location services to track your walks. You understand and agree that:

• GPS coordinates are collected during active walk tracking
• Location history is stored and displayed as route maps
• You can revoke location permissions at any time through device settings
• We use location data only for route tracking and distance calculation
• Location data is encrypted and never shared with third parties for marketing

5. Camera & Photo Access

WalkMate may request access to your camera and photo library to allow you to add photos to pet profiles. You can deny these permissions at any time through device settings.

You agree to use WalkMate only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to hack the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or servers
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Use the App to harass, threaten, or abuse others
• Resell or redistribute the App or premium features
• Attempt to bypass premium restrictions or payment mechanisms

8. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, design, graphics, code, and materials in WalkMate are the property of BlazeApps or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind. We make no warranty that the App will meet your requirements, be error-free, or uninterrupted. Use of the App is at your own risk. GPS accuracy and route tracking depend on device capability, signal strength, and environmental factors. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of distance or location data.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlazeApps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to pet injury, GPS inaccuracies, data loss, or economic damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination

We may terminate your access to WalkMate at any time for violations of these Terms of Use or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may uninstall the App at any time. Data associated with your account will be retained according to our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of California for the resolution of any disputes.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be posted in the App, and your continued use of WalkMate constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
