Camera & Photo Library Access

WalkMate requests access to your camera and photo library to allow you to capture and upload pet photos. You can deny these permissions at any time through your device settings. Photos are processed and stored only as long as you keep them in the app.

WalkMate offers a free tier and premium subscription plans:

• Free Tier: Basic walk tracking, 1 pet profile
• Monthly: $2.99/month for unlimited pets, route maps, photos, and monthly reports
• Yearly: $19.99/year for all premium features
• Lifetime: $39.99 one-time purchase for permanent premium access

Subscription data is processed securely through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not store your payment information directly; it is managed by these platforms.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. Your location data, pet information, and walk history are stored securely in Firebase with appropriate access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. If you have security concerns, please contact us immediately.

Data Retention

We retain your walk data, pet information, and route history as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Backup copies may take up to 30 days to be deleted.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

Children's Privacy

WalkMate is intended for adults and is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with information, we will delete such information and terminate the child's account.
