Group Data Sharing

SplitEase is designed for group expense tracking. When you create a group and invite members, expense data and balance calculations are shared within that group. Each group member can see shared expenses, split amounts, and balance information. We do not share group data outside of explicitly invited members.

Financial Data Sensitivity

We understand that expense and financial data is highly sensitive. We treat all financial information with the highest level of care. Your expense data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your financial data to third parties or advertisers. We do not use your financial data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the App's core features.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

• Creating and managing group expense splits
• Calculating who owes whom and settlement amounts
• Syncing group data across devices for all members
• Recording payment history and settlement information
• Providing premium features such as unlimited groups, unlimited members, settlement tracking, and recurring expenses

SplitEase offers a free tier and premium subscription plans:

• Free Tier: 1 group, 5 members, basic expense splitting
• Monthly: $2.99/month for unlimited groups, unlimited members, settlement tracking, and recurring expenses
• Yearly: $19.99/year for all premium features
• Lifetime: $39.99 one-time purchase for permanent premium access

Subscription data is processed securely through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not store your payment information directly; it is managed by these platforms.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. Your group data and expense information are stored securely in Firebase with appropriate access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. If you have security concerns, please contact us immediately.

Data Retention

We retain your group data and expense records as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Backup copies may take up to 30 days to be deleted.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your group data and expense records
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Opt-out of promotional communications
• Export your expense history
• Disable analytics in app settings
• Remove yourself from a group or delete a group you created

Children's Privacy

SplitEase is intended for adults and is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with information, we will delete such information and terminate the child's account.

CCPA & California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
