1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using FocusQuest ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the App. BlazeApps reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. About the App

FocusQuest is a gamified productivity and focus application designed to help users maintain focus and productivity by completing quests, earning XP, unlocking worlds, and participating in daily challenges. The App includes quest-based focus sessions, XP and leveling systems, world progression, daily challenges, and achievement tracking.

3. User Accounts & Authentication

FocusQuest uses anonymous authentication via Firebase. You do not need to create a traditional user account with a username and password. Your data is stored securely and anonymously.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and access credentials
• You agree not to share your authentication token with others
• We are not responsible for unauthorized access due to your negligence

4. Fair Play & Cheating Prevention

To ensure fair gameplay, FocusQuest monitors when you leave the app during focus sessions. By using the App, you understand and agree that:

• The app detects when you switch to other apps or leave the focus session
• Quests may be invalidated if the app detects cheating or multitasking
• XP and rewards are only awarded for completed, legitimate focus sessions
• We reserve the right to invalidate progress if cheating is detected

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use FocusQuest only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to hack the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or servers
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Use the App to harass, threaten, or abuse others
• Resell or redistribute the App or premium features
• Attempt to bypass premium restrictions or payment mechanisms
• Cheat, use exploits, or artificially inflate your XP, levels, or achievements

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, design, graphics, code, and materials in FocusQuest are the property of BlazeApps or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind. We make no warranty that the App will meet your requirements, be error-free, or uninterrupted. Use of the App is at your own risk. XP, levels, and achievements are for entertainment purposes only. FocusQuest is a gamification tool for motivation and should not be used as the sole basis for evaluating productivity or performance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlazeApps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to data loss, lost progress, economic damages, or loss of productivity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination & Account Suspension

We may terminate your access to FocusQuest at any time for violations of these Terms of Use, including cheating or unfair play, or for any other reason at our discretion. We reserve the right to:

• Invalidate progress or achievements if cheating is detected
• Suspend or ban your account for violations of fair play rules
• Delete data associated with cheating or account abuse

You may uninstall the App at any time. Data associated with your account will be retained according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of California for the resolution of any disputes.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be posted in the App, and your continued use of FocusQuest constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
