1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ChoreChamp ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the App. BlazeApps reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. About the App

ChoreChamp is a household task management and gamification application designed to help families organize chores, assign tasks to household members, track completion, and earn points and rewards. The App includes group management, task assignment, completion tracking, point systems, leaderboards, recurring chores, and achievement multipliers.

3. User Accounts & Authentication

ChoreChamp uses anonymous authentication via Firebase. You do not need to create a traditional user account with a username and password. Your data is stored securely and anonymously.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and access credentials
• You agree not to share your authentication token with others outside of your household group
• We are not responsible for unauthorized access due to your negligence

4. Group Membership & Data Sharing

When you create a household group or join one, you understand and agree that:

• Task assignments and completion data are visible to all group members
• Points, scores, and leaderboard rankings are shared within the group
• Other group members can see your chores and completion history
• You are responsible for ensuring all household members consent to data sharing
• Parents should supervise children's use and group memberships

You agree to use ChoreChamp only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to hack the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or servers
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Use the App to harass, threaten, or abuse others
• Resell or redistribute the App or premium features
• Attempt to bypass premium restrictions or payment mechanisms
• Manipulate points, scores, or leaderboard data artificially

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, design, graphics, code, and materials in ChoreChamp are the property of BlazeApps or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind. We make no warranty that the App will meet your requirements, be error-free, or uninterrupted. Use of the App is at your own risk. Points, scores, leaderboards, and achievements are for entertainment purposes only and should not be used for any financial or serious disciplinary decisions within your household.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlazeApps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to data loss, economic damages, or household disputes, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We may terminate your access to ChoreChamp at any time for violations of these Terms of Use or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may uninstall the App at any time. Data associated with your account will be retained according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of California for the resolution of any disputes.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be posted in the App, and your continued use of ChoreChamp constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
