• Photos: Photos you upload for the Photo Optimizer and AI Photo Generation features. Photos are processed to provide scores and recommendations.
• Chat Screenshots: Screenshots of conversations you upload to generate reply suggestions. These are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.

Automatically Collected Information

• User ID: A unique anonymous identifier created via Apple Keychain, used to manage your account and preferences.
• Purchase History: Records of in-app purchases and subscription status, managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat.
• Product Interaction Data: How you use the app, such as which features you access and which reply tones you select. This helps us improve the app experience.
• Crash Data and Performance Data: Technical data about app crashes, load times, and performance, used to fix bugs and improve reliability.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate personalized reply suggestions based on your conversations and preferences
• Score and optimize your dating profile photos
• Generate AI photos in various styles

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI: Your chat screenshots and your preferences are sent to OpenAI's API to generate reply suggestions and photo analysis. OpenAI's usage policies apply to this data processing. OpenAI does not use data submitted via API for training purposes.
• RevenueCat: Manages subscription and purchase processing.
• Apple: In-App Purchases are processed through Apple's payment system. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Data Storage and Retention

• Chat screenshots are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.
• Your name and preferences are stored to provide a personalized experience.
• Photos uploaded for AI Photo Generation may be temporarily stored for processing and are deleted after generation is complete.
• You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.

Children's Privacy

Barney is rated 12+ and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Barney may request your permission to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. We do not currently display third-party advertisements in the app.
